Nicholas Tzoumas

Nick founded what would become Clearscope in early 2008.  As president, Nick oversees the overall growth of the firm.  He started in the financial services industry in 2000. From 2002 until 2007 Nick served in a management role for a Fortune 100 financial services firm. In 2007, he returned to private practice and began working directly with clients again. While Nick deals with all types of clients, his focus is working with business owners.  Having been raised in a family business he understands the goals and needs of the small business owner and how they struggle to walk the line between providing for themselves and providing for their employees. Additionally, five years of corporate management has shaped Nick's understanding of corporate governance and the evolution of human resource protocol.  The reason clients choose to work and stay with Clearscope is because of the process-oriented approach that Nick and his associates use.  Whether the client is looking for benefit solutions for their business or personal solutions to help achieve their individual financial goals, Nick uses a multi-step process to help clients establish their goals, assess where they are today, relative to those goals, and then recommend solutions to reach their objectives.

Nick earned his B.A. in Political Science from Stony Brook University in 2000.  Since then, Nick has continued his professional education. He attends regular workshops that discuss trends in the benefits and financial marketplace and participates in multiple study groups. This knowledge and experience has allowed Nick to create a firm that understands the needs of all of his clients.

Nick is very involved in his church and other local charities. He has been a regular organizer and participant in fundraising events for several well-known charities and not-for-profit organizations. Nick lives on Long Island with his wife and daughters.
